Penang LRT conditional approval granted

Get ready Penangnites. The transport ministry have given conditional approval If the Penang LRT get the full go ahead . According to the Transport Minister Anthony Loke , the final approval will be based on 30 conditions the state have to comply.

For any major infrastructure to happen the impact on the people of penang  will be taken into account.  Anthony Loke said that he locations would be advertised in newspapers, and he hopes the state government would also publish the documents online.

The LRT will be built in two phases. It ranges from Komtar to 3 three reclaimed new island after the Penang International Airport. The first will be a 23.5km line with 20 stations while the second line is 6.4km long with 7 stations.

It will also change the property landscape along the line. There are many projects and upcoming soon to be launched projects along the way.

Where to find the money for this big project? Not to worry. The state have also thought it out. It will be financed through the sales of the three reclaimed island by the Penang government through its projects partner SRS Consortium.

So folks, Penang is getting better by the day. I am from Penang and I have seen it grow for the last 10 years. Be patient more good things is coming.
